It depends on how good the RO water is. It can vary greatly. I get mine from a Culligan machine in a grocery store. It usually reads about 4 or 5 micro Seimens. DW should read about 1 micro Seimen. Home units may not be as good, and poorly maintained machines will not do as well. I never use
