RO water is hit and miss as filters need periodic back flushing and changing. It CAN be pure enough, but usually isn't. Even distilled water isn't 100% all the time...even coming from the same distiller. Water is a universal solvent and will absorb everything around. On Tue, Jul 2, 2019 at 6:40 A

You may find that 6 volts is too much as the electrodes are very close together and a LOT of current will flow. Might want to go down to a single AAA battery [1.5 volts] If you use silver electrodes, you also get the advantage of silver ions passing through the tissue [Iontoporosis] on top of the P
