Regarding hair dyes: If you dye your hair at home, try using it for a shorter amount of time than what is suggested on the box. I think they normally suggest something like 20 or 25 minutes on the roots and another 5 or 10 minutes all over. I do a 5 minutes on the roots and 5 minutes all over

No, I have no information on that, but my mom who was a hairdresser in her 20's heard the same about permanent dyes and cancer. She is now 94 never dyed her hair. I am in my 60's I do not have much in the way of gray hair so I use semipermanent dye. Only wish I knew the truth, I still wonder

Just goes to show - yesterday's science is today's fallacy. When I first started dying my hair, the "wisdom" was that semipermanent dyes caused cancer but the permanent ones didn't. So I have been dying my hair for 25 years. If it's any comfort, my mother died last September at the age of 99
