I would think so but, their potency might not be the same as what is used in Lugol's. Also Iodide Crystals are used to make Iodine, along with Iodine Crystals, and Distilled water. Lugol's is made by 2 1/2 % Iodine, 2 1/2 Iodide, and 95% Distilled water. Total about 5% Iodine in Lugol's
