Hi Chris
Does that script simply run the installation wizard, or does it reset
all settings to default first? The former would be the more preferable,
but the script name suggests the latter.

yeah, i know that =)
i guess i just assumed that max wants to be able to distinguish
between pbx users--for the purposes of cdr tracking, caller id,
inbound call routing, or whatever else. the process i am describing
would take a couple of man-hours at most, even for hundreds of users,
and you ge
If the system was mis-configured using the install wizard the install wizard
script can be re-run using the following command from an SSH/Putty
connection:
/root/sipx_reset_cd
To use SSH to box and type "./sipx_reset_cd"

I think he meant to create just 1 account on sipX for the gateway, not
all the hundred users from the legacy PBX.

i wonder how easy it would be to
(1) pull the list of extensions off your pbx and throw them in an
excel sheet (or something)
(2) use this list to generate a bunch of insert statements for the
users table in sipxconfig
(3) use same list & sip passwords to generate cli statements for patton

gotcha... based on your earlier email i was under the impression that
it was just one extension you were trying to send through sipx... i
guess that doesn't make much sense =)

Correct. If your harware phone or software phone supports h.264 and can
successfully register and use sipx then the video stream is "part of" the phone
call if both sides are compatible.
Counterpath is a good example of a softphone that supports video (try x-lite,
the free version). There are
Thanks a lot tony. That's meant when we configure sipx we dont have to worry
about any other ways to configure for video? by default does it supports ?

Hi,
Sorry for the "subject" mix-up in my previous 2 posts.
I still have problems with my callresolver though.
Here some info from sipxcallresolver.log (I was originally only looking in
sipcallresolver.log):
"2009-04-02T11:18:08.226927 ":DEBUG:cse_hosts: host name localhost, host
port: 5432
"20
It does if you phone supports video calls via the h.264 codec.

Hi
Is there any possibility to implement video conferencing via sipx ? If it is
possible what are the requirements? Please give me your expertise idea .
