Audiocodes MP114 FXO 6.2 Firmware and SIPXECS 4.4
As the subject reads, I noticed there is a JIRA on this. Does anyone have
MP114's with 6.2 firmware working on SIPX 4.4? I ask because we just ordered 3
new fxos and 3 new fxs and all have 6.2 firmware.
So not sure if this will work or if
I'd downgrade to 6.0
Should be fine...

In order to auto record, the conference requires an owner.
4.2 is sorely out of date. 4.4 also had issues with auto record but it was
fixed with a patch. You might consider updating your system.

Now I guess the question is how to get this from audiocodes, I can't even find
a number to call them to even see how much this will cost us.
Thanks for the info, its what I thought.

You should be able to get through your distributor.

Hi Guys,
Do you know if there is a way to allow users to access only to CDR reports
from Web Portal ? I'm running version 4.4.
I have users who needs CDR report only, so I don't want to grant them with
superadmin access.
Thanks a lot in advance for your feedback.
Best Regards.
Cyril
We don't have fine-grained control for that sort of thing yet.
CDR's are in a database that you could possibly build your own interface
into.

Hi Michael,
Thanks for your answer.
Do you know if it's planned for the future release?

Yes i do know...
Multiple levels of admin will be integrated into the admin GUI. Not sure
if in will be in commercial only or both commercial and open source though.
Thanks,

Cyril,
Have a look at the sipXconfig 4.4 patch I uploaded for JIRA XX-3474. This might
do what you need it to if you don't mind building your own sipxconfig RPM.
If you decide to try it, use it at your own risk. However, I can say that it's
been working for me in multiple installations
Andrew, does this just use flags in the GUI for menus? How secure is this?
If somebody still knows a URI can they get to it?

Mike,
Good catch. I thought I had nailed all these down, but this version does look
like if you are authenticated and know the URL, it would let you go places you
shouldn't be allowed. Let me go back through my latest customized version and
compare. There should be checks that will boot you

Thanks George. The restricted parameter looks like it only applies to
situations where the user needs to be superadmin but isn't. I suppose I could
(and probably should) add another boolean parameter in a similar vein for
pbxman and check it in Border anyway to be safe. The thing is, there are

I've had repeated trouble with the auto-record function...it seems to just stop
working after a while...this has plagued me from past versions and even thru a
clean install...
It seems like it will work if I go back in and change a few settings - but

Just a quick note on Linux firewalls and in this case t.38 aka fax.
We had a issue with t.38 working properly on a new install. Everything
else was fine. We were seeing a 200 ok message from the ITSP on the
phone server just before sending t.38 that was telling the phone server

George,
Yes, in this case the extra check for the base pbxman permission is
superfluous, but then again I'm a belt-and-suspenders kind of guy. If a user
has a sub-permission, they SHOULD also have the base permission, and this is
enforced when the user's settings are saved.
A check for just
I think this was our concern with this approach that was used.
We want to have finer-grained control but whatever we do we want it to be
secure and not just security through obscurity.
Thanks for your efforts around this!
