I realize that, however, that is the software that Member First Mortgage
uses. I know of no other commercially support software that works as well as
the CounterPath Bria softphone.

Tony,
a=sendonly is part of RFC 3264; which I understand Bria
supports.
The goal of the IETF standard is to fix a broken and problematic function
within the standards. On hold at 0.0.0.0 doesn't really cut it. When you
are trying to centrally manage a phone system with 500 users, you need
standards that you can use to your advantage and will let the UA direct the

This is the latest reply from CounterPath support:
Hi Rob
Music on hold is a server side function.
There is no provision from within the client for serving that locally.

OK, so whatever is brokering your connections from the remote users has to
be able to intercept and handle the MOH for you. I'm not sure if there is
actually a way to do this with AudioCodes gateways. It would have to be a
function of the traversal with the remote users to your network and

Tony,
I currently have three PRI circuits connected to a AudioCodes Mediant 1000
device for PSTN termination.
All the users use the Bria Professional 3.3.2-65843 softphone.
The conference rooms each use a Polycom SoundStation IP 6000. (MoH Works Great)

Some session border controller allow you to upload music on hold and
weather the providers support music on hold or not they are able to play
music on hold. What type of p s t n connection do you have?

I have placed a support question out to CounterPath asking them if there is
ever going to be an option within the software to select a music file. This

There is nothing in 4.6 that would change this. Bria just doesn't support
the standard that is used by sipXecs.
If sipXbridge is used for trunk termination it can be used to inject MoH
for clients that don't support the MoH standard sipXecs uses.

Does anyone know if the MoH problem between Bria and sipXecs is addressed in
the 4.6 release? Perhaps there is an alternate configuration method to get MoH
to work. The Bria software does not provide the ability to play a music file
when a call has been placed on hold. Software such as VOP or Ph
