Totally agree. 411 is not required for most users anymore. However, I still like to have it in the dial plan. For now I replaced the Google 411 and 555-1212 with Bing's. The other option when someone is dialing 411 would be to play a message to use the web instead of dialing 411... Thanks for ever

Yes. Free Toll Free Gateway!!! But this renews my call for a "telco services" exclusive dial plan function that allows calling TELCO based services and being able to route them to the correct gateway with whatever "function" is needed (*XX or #XX based services, or being able to define a SIP URI

I never actually implemented GOOG411 via a phone number or dial plan. I create a user with no phone and forwarded the calls all the time to the sip uri for the GOOG411 service. It works fine this way. I don't have to mess with the dial plan and it never uses the dial plan since there's a local use

I know several of you have special gateways/ or dial plans that allow you to use Google 411 as your organizational FREE information. It looks like google doesn't need your input anymore. They collected and aggregated all the voice data they need, and will be discontinuing it next month:
