Yes, I'm running OS/X 10.4.
If it was a bug in Tiger's PDFkit, wouldn't it also fail in Preview?

I added the - = + item to my toolbar & got a surprise when I clicked
the = thinking it would zoom to fit & instead my pdf shrunk way down
