I managed to use slide / webdav as a windows ressource, that means web
folder. This can be easily done in the windows explorer ("add network
ressource").
But I wasn´t able to use it as a real network drive letter (e.g. "z:"),
because my tomcat runs on port 8080 ...

JCA 2.1. The client is a JBoss 3.2.3 JMX Service I am implementing.

Yes, I think I would prefer to use WCK, since it's targeted for this
purpose (I haven't looked at it yet). However, I am concerned about
using it in production without a "final" release. Is there a timeframe

neither developing Slide further nor in any release roadmaps. Sorry...

There is a tool caled "WebDrive", which you can install so that you map
windows' drives to webfolders, but it is not a free tool:(
