Is the AUX button glowing red when it should under Debian? http://www.google.com/search?q=aux+red+site:openmoko.org why should it? with debian/fso the pwr button is glowing orange when charging. if you prefer the red one you can change it either via a rules file (i think) or sysfs.

The problem is that once you do that, there is no way to power it back down, until perhaps reboot. the right way (tm) to do that with debian/fso is using dbus/framworkd calls. have a look at the wiki for mdbus, there are very close examples which should give you the idea. additionally, the
