I hope to use the launcher app as my first "how to package python
software for debian" learn-it-program, for which I'm going to read up on
creating a setup.py script ;) After that it should become easily
installable.
As for a panel item to mute sound, a quick hack using
mb-applet-launcher
That actually sounds pretty sweet. Right now I'm using icewm and trayer,
and though their footprint is small, there are some shortcomings. icewm
doesn't play nicely with the matchbox keyboard so I use xvkbd- very
functional but not so pretty. I like having a panel at the top or bottom
with the cloc
