Nice thing is that it will process a text file that's on the system clipboard.

All,
Does anybody know of an application that will strip out unnecessary carriage
returns in a Word (or rtf or text) document. A translator has supplied me
some copy in which they
drop text into Textwrangler or BBEDit and choose one of the wrapping menus
under Edit.
will lose formatting though.

One way is to place text into indesign and
Copy maybe 5 carriage returns and find and change, then 4, then 3,
then 2, it works fine this way. Don't forget to change 1 carriage
return with a space.
Does not take too long.

Hi Phil
Try setting word to show the formatting elements, so that the carriage
return shows up as a character, then copy it, go to find/replace and
paste the carriage return into the find box, leave the replace box
blank and click replace all.
