Just as the element

is used to wrap the parameters for the method call,
is used to wrap the return value and output parameters. In other
words, this element is not part of the return value, so you cannot

I am
trying to write a Java client that uses Apache SOAP to connect to a service
running gSOAP. I have tried to model it after the addressbook example in the
Apache SOAP toolkit. Unfortunately, when I get back the response, instead of
mapping the data into an AdapterInfo object, the QueryErr
I finally found my CLASSPATH was not set correctly. The path to mail.jar
was wrong. After made the correction, everything is fine.
Thanks.

I forgot to tell you I followed Scott Nichol's instruction at
http://www.scottnichol.com/apachesoapinstall.htm
I tested the soap server by the pointing my browser to:
1. http://localhost:8080/soap/index.html.
Thanks for the help but I got the same error message. My tomcat may not be
configured correctly. What do I need to set in tomcat-4.1.18 in order to
try the soap addressbook examples?

Try this
java -classpath
c:\soap-2_3\lib\soap.jar;c:\soap-2_3\lib\mail.jar;c:\soap-2_3\lib\activation
.jar;c:\soap-2_3 org.apache.soap.server.ServiceManagerClient

Hi there, I've seen the tool http://www.pushtotest.com/ptt/saskit.html
but I'm kind of interested w.r.t deployment of Web Services on
freeware/open source products viz.,
"Tomcat and Axis" versus "WAS and Axis" versus "WLS and Axis", do anyone
have already evaluated this? if so can you please share
Hi, I am trying to set up soap on my win XP computer. I have successfully

If I was to attempt to answer the question the answer would be "it depends"

there is no SOAP SSL response?
If so does it then attempt to SSL connect outside where the proxy would
intercept it?

I've run into a bit of a snag with Soap 2.3.1, SSL, Java 1.3-1.4.x and a
proxy. The application in question accesses soap services both outside the
proxy and internally. It works through all these devices quite nicely if
there is only one connection type (through the proxy, or internal). If the
