Yes, you can use the SOAPContext object to access the conHTTP request
object. See

Hi Vijay,
You probably need to configure your soap client to use a proxy server.
Check your browser settings (or ask a friendly sysadmin) - you need to find
the host name and port number for your corporate proxy server.
Once you have found this information, have a look here for details on the

As far as I know, this technique will only work if both the client and the
server are using the Apache SOAP libraries.

Hello,
I've just updated the Apache SOAP-user's FAQ. It's available here:

I think the problem occurs because you haven't included the path to the
sample classes in the classpath used by BOTH your client and server.
Hope this helps (shout if it doesn't!),

This has been in the SOAP-user faq for quite a while now:
http://xml.apache.org/soap/faq/faq_chawke.html#Q2_10
It contains links to what IMHO are good, clear explanations of how to use
the tcp tunnel gui.
Thanks,
Jonathan.

There's a doc about Apache-SOAP and SSL here:

It's not WAS-specific, but it might help.

Hi Gordon,
There are some known JVM/glibc issues with RedHat Linux.
This may be the source of your problems.

Hi,
I've just updated the Apache SOAP-user's FAQ. It's available here:

The Xerces 1.3.1 issue (and a whole bunch of other issues!) is resolved in
the SOAP User's FAQ on the web site:

Does anyone know of any ISP's that will host SOAP applications?
I've found lists of ISP's that do servlets/jsp, but none that mention SOAP:

Thanks,

I believe there is also another alternative that can be used as a small
browser-based client: 'SoapRMI'.
It is only 183KB (including an XML parser) and is available here:
http://www.extreme.indiana.edu/soap/rmi/download/.
And don't blame me if it all goes pear-shaped - I've never used it!
