The pink foam is cheaper by far, much more readily available in most > localities, and weighs significantly less than epp foam. Cheaper and easier to get, yes. Ligher, NO. Most pink and blue (unicell or extruded) polystyrene is 2 pounds per cubic foot. (I have heard of 1.7 but haven't seen it.)
