Doug Reel is the local "champion" of the Opus, though two other excellent
pilots, Frank Cavazos (Boomerang designer), and Ralph Roberts (PSS Scratch
builder extraordinaire) also fly them. Doug uses his almost exclusively to
Dynamic Soar. Very stout little plane.

Anybody know about AMD's Cyclone wingeron slope ship? They ran an add in
the latest SE Modeler and it looks good on paper and on the site. Just
seeing if anybody has any experience with AMD or with the Cyclone.

Twinstar + Dragonette + short towline = SCARY!
One day at our slope, there wasn't enough lift for anything to fly for
very long,except a twinstar. I got tired of throwing my Dragonette into the

I watched HLG 2000 last night. It really captures the spirit of the event.
With excellent video quality and a great soundtrack, it was very easy to
drift back to June in Poway and re-live the weekend.
The "clip on mike" segments are very funny. Both Tim Cone and Jim Carlton
are wired for sound
There will be a contest at the CVRC flying field at Visalia Calif. Sept.
10th at 8am Sunday. This will be practice for the up coming Fall Festival
that's on 7th8th of Oct. This is a low key open winch type contest. There
will be time limits to complete rounds by. So put this on your calendar,
