I use aluminium angle extrusion. Easy to rough out with shears
and finish with a file. They get screwed directly onto the work
surface so template and foam have a common datum. You really need
4 per section, upper and lower surfaces on both left and right.
These are finished in left/right pairs
Sold - Thanks...

Ya'll are taking Gordy way too seriously.
He spent a whole day at the contest and didn't try to sell me a Volz servo
even once! :-) Just tested my resolve to give him a hard way to go a
couple times. ;-)

My two cents worth,
We have to remember we fly for fun. Things do not always go the way we want.
If we flew for $$ and had big dollar sponcers to please, then maybe there
is a good reason to protest. World Champ flying is another story. I have been
at the Nats with a protest, all it did is
Although off-topic, I found this to be interesting reading for anyone
interested in the engineering aspects of designing a product.
The following are excerpts from one chapter in the book:
"Invention by Design - How Engineers Get from Thought to Thing"

Regardless of the size and total mass of a ship, the tail and wing tips can
never be too light. This is why the effort was made to find a supplier to
produce a stiff, 27", 13gr carbon tailboom for the Allegro 2-meter.

My apologies to Skip! In my haste to view evrything on his site, it never
occurred to me to scroll horizontally when viewing the panoramic group
shots!! Great photos, Skip!! However, for some reason, when I click on the
first ("full size") photo link, it won't load for me, though all the others
Unfortunately I am not aware of design software or a spreadsheet for
simulating the performance impacts wing aspect ratio changes. Several model
designers have generated code for their own use but no one appears to have
productized their work. You may find the following white paper helpful i
Skip's photos are great, but does anyone have any photos of the whole group?
There are a bunch of us that are cut off on the right of the group photos on
