Replacement battery holders can be bought at Radio hack for $1.49 and nicads
can be charged with a standard wall wart. Tower sells a kit with 8 nicads
and a wall wart for $20. Boomerang will fly great with radio mixing and is
the easiest to program of all the mixing radios.

Craig,
How does the Dorker penetrate, compared to a molded
ship? Also, how strong do you think it is?
Thanks

I have a drawing on my web site for a simple dual battery set up. It's what I
have used exclusively in my scale ships for about 5 years now. No complaints
yet. I do use 5 cells which helps adjust for the slight voltage drop across the
diode. Note the comments on the site about diode choices. There

Hi All
With all this talk on the Mantis, I just had to take a look. I found the
photos on the Charles River site.
Ugly? - Maybe, not too bad
Functional? - Yes
Does it fly well? - Everyone says so
How can anyone criticise an aircraft as being ugly when every other PPL
flies a Cessna 150 or 172!
Flyers,
Thank you all for your answers to my focus3 questions.
I am venturing back into HLG again and wanted to try pull-pull for elev
and rudder again. I did not have huge success in the past. I was
interested in other peoples methods. I have tried winding the thread
around the servo arm screw
When it come right down to it, I really can't tell you why I love that,
as you say, Ugly glider.
I guess I've always gone in for something different, not the run of the
mill, not the same thing DP or JW has, just so I can say I have one like
they do or think I can fly like them just because I have
Now that's funny.
I actually laughed out load at this one.
