Go to Home Depot or Lowes. You'll find hinging tape in huge (60') rolls
for less than $4.00. It's the good tough stretchy stuff that the RC
people sell for a buck a foot or so...

wingeron and pitcheron slopers. If it's a wingeron plane where the wings act
