I live in Laurel Canyon, Hollywood Hills, Los
Angeles. I know there must be some descent slope soaring locations near
here, perhaps off of Mulholland Drive. Anybody out there care to share a
site that you know of?
Thanks, G. Schaaf
Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone else out there has a Mini-1 XL. If you do,
how does it fly and are there any tips on it? I am building one now
and it is looking like it will be a blast to fly! Can't wait to get
it on the slope.
TIA
Kevin

the standard or the one with the heavy layup/modified 06 foil?
Secondly, what ever happened to the larger version of the Miraj,

TIA!

Southern California Soaring Clubs (SC2) has been running a Series of HL

Go larger, what sounds like a big span sailplane in scale at 3 meters is
actually quite small. You would be happy with a 4 meter to start, and the
flying will be easier and more realistic.

Many, if not all four meter and even some 5 meter ships can be winch
launched with a good winch. Some guys use a bridle system to facilitate a
flatter launch. All launches should be ROG with scale ships. The best way to
launch big scale ships, and this is a biased statement, is to aerotow these
