Many thanks for all the information on mounting batteries in series to gain MaH. Here's a quick summary of what I've gotten: - It's not a good idea, but it works just fine anyway - It's OK if the batteries are charged separately - It's OK if the batteries are charged at the same time - It works

Hello all, I picked up this used RnR Viper from Greg Smith of Slopeflyer.com a couple of years ago but have never flown it. It's too nice of a plane to sit in my basement rafters any longer. I've seen this plane fly in Greg's very capable hands and it screams. He tells me that this particular

I've been cleaning out my shop and came across these plans that I'm never going to get around to building MU13-D3 1/4 scale 4M late 1930's sailplane. These plans are by Cliff Charlesworth in England. This is a very extensive plan. Plans have 2 6" rips on one end, easily repaired. $40.00

ARF tow planes are a little tough to come by. If I wanted to get a tow plane now I would just get a Pegasus from Derstine and put a DA 100 on it. You will have a tow plane capable of towing just about anything (including a 10-meter, 67 pound SB-10) that will be a true workhorse. For a scale plane

Very well stated. I'm sorry the answers have been so mixed and muddled. Bottomline: You'll be fine 99% of the time. It is only that tiny 1% (most likely even less) that made me express some concern. In truth Nicads are very durable and NiMHs are pretty tough too. You can certainly use them in

Technically not considered a good idea. But many do it. Huh? I was only cautious about the possibility of problems that could occur and then be falsely blamed upon the paralleled battery installation. Such as hard, fast charging, poor connections, mixed cell capacities, mixed cell ages,
