Hi, all In this winter I flew small RC electric helicopters, XRB SR Lama (Hirobo) and Hummingbird Elite CP (Centruy RC Helicopter), at my living room. Now I plan to fly RC helicopter as a rotor wing glider or powerless autogyro at slope. I think some modifications are needed: adding a fin

RE: [RCSE] sailplane info wanted

2005-04-22 Thread Douglas, Brent
One of the DARTS guys, John Schmoll, used to show up at the field with a Vulcan. I remember it was very clean looking, very quick - reminded me a lot of a Super V. Of all the times I recall him flying it, I never saw it thermal - not that it can't. He used to set it up, winch it as hard as he

The Vulcan had a 7012 airfoil which was a bit of getting use to. It is a fast airfoil and for my friend, who owned one, had difficulty trying to get it to thermal. I never thought it was a good choice for a 2m ship. None the less, the plane looks great! Ed Sleger always had an eye for nice

In making a minor change to the May issue of RCSD, we inadvertently added two blank pages which in turn totally destroyed the proper positioning of the last several pages. If you downloaded the May issue between 12:00 midnight Pacific time and 11:00 AM Pacific time, you got this version of the

Gordy. how about me? I can't fly for nuts, but I can talk with an Aussie accent, and can wear my Steve Irwin clothes. Maybe you could loan me one of your models, so I can try F3J :) Start digging deep for my sponsorship. Really though, I hope you can sponsor JoJo - half his luck.

Hi Klaus, It would be a great bit of interest to see you flying that RNR Genesis all fixed up with lots of epoxy, but I doubt the airlines would allow it in the weight limit for baggage! I was only 7 places behind you at the Heathcote Cup comp in Feb, and I was flying a 2m . hm You

I own a Vulcan2M. It is a very nice sailplane. One thing though -- when you balance the sailplane according to the specs in the instructions it will have a very aft CG and be quite twitchy to fly. I would recommend moving the CG between 1/4 to 1/2 inch forward. I usually launch the sailplane

Hi Rick, I did the same thing a few years back. You need to pull the armature and clip the leads going to the smaller winding in the field. You will need a piece of coat hanger wire to form a brush holding do-hickey when replacing the armature back into the case. Overall I did NOT see much
