I've been using a D100 for about a year and I love it. I had a D1X but had to get rid of it to pay some bills. I imagine the D50 will be a great camera too. Canon seems to have cheaper prices for equivalent pixel count, but I've got a bunch of $ tied up in Nikon, so that's what I stay with. gv

That can be as wide open. My choices are: DSLR: Nikon D50 or Canon XT350. Basically the same features at basically the same cost. If you already have either Canon or Nikon AF lens then stay with that system. 1000.00 with a -200mm lens added. For Point and shoot or all in one I have a Panasonic
