Well, speaking just generally; I'd guess bad. Tom Hoopes certainly would know. I'm simply thinking that holding any frequency for 8+ hours at an event wouldn't be good. Plus, with that many people, you run some extra risk of an erroneous shoot down. What do you Utah folks think? Bill Swingle

Well, like I said, I'm only speaking in generalities. I'd suggest it best to contact the event CD and ask. Maybe they'll encourage it. Who knows... Yes, I'd guess that the Ham band would be a better choice. HOWEVER! The Ham bands are usually so clear that SOME ham pilots don't pay much attention;
