Our club has 3 winches and I have 2. All have double Cole Hersee solenoids. All the failures have occurred in the last 4 that we have purchased in the last year. So far all the replacement solenoids have functioned properly. I'm wondering if there is a quality control problem. I'm surprise

In less then year I have experienced the failure of 3 winch solenoids. They are Cole Hersee solenoids. The first failure was with brand new ones. On the first day of use both solenoids failed at essentially the same time, they both stayed closed. A cutoff switch saved the sailplane. After t
