Actually the Bosch motors suck for making winches. The fords had two good features for making cheap winches. 1) the relatively long shaft that you could mount a short drum on. 2) Built-in mounts that can bolt to a simple plate. The Bosch motors require machining a motor mount. The shaft is lo
