Well, I can tell you I've done the opposite. In my electric Zagi I wrap
the receiver in foil to block interference from my battery leads and it
works fine (no more interference). I guess as long as your antenna wire
is away (or going away ) from the foil/metal/carbon it should be fine.

I used some standard aluminum foil to wrap the nose weights
in my Sierra 2.5 This is about 8 inches away from the receiver.
Can this cause some type of receiver problem?
(I use the foil to create a "form" and to keep the lead pieces
in place, rest of nose is soft foam pieces and receiver battery
