My MDL wing wieghed 108gr out of the box, 113gr (3.985oz) after drilling
mounting holes. (No offense to Tom, he may have started with a heavier
wing). I figured I used about 1gr more glass than I needed. Yes, people
really over do the joining.

Go out and buy yourself and Orion HLG from Sal. They are extremely easy to
fly have good performance, look cool, can be got in either V-tail or Std-tail
and won't break the bank buying one. Just my opinion of course.

I've been playing with a light weight HLG (7.2oz) with Spectra pull-pull.
Previous experience with Epsilon type construction has been good with little
need to adjust the pull-pull as the strings stay tight enough with the glass
covered, balsa slab surfaces. However my new HLG uses skin hinged
