If it is an AT power supply, you can make it work by putting a 5 Ohm Power resistor rated for at least 10 Watts between +5V and GND. On an ATX power supply, in addition to that, you should put a switch between PWR_ON# and GND. PWR_ON# is the 4th pin from the left if you looked at the main
