I think that what Del is trying to say is that:
1) A person can spend a lot of money to get a feather-cut, or
2) They can build a (better) design for a lot less money.
We should all be thankful that Del is around to advise us folks. I know I am.

I think that the bow that you found is fine. It seams to have a metal bar
on top that could be a problem with insulation of the cutting wire but it
looks fine.
I will state this as simple as possible. Why I do not like Feather cut! A
