Following up on my own post: I just downgraded the BIOS from 1.33b to
1.33 and the drive is now happily detected.
Not sure why, but I will stick with 1.33 for now.

2GB Sandisk CF card with FreeBSD on it from the start.
Wanting to add some storage, I recently bought a SATA drive mounting
kit and a Samsung HM250JI SATA drive for it.

A) Will coreboot ever run on the Soekris 5501? It has already been
ported to the CPU/southbridge, just needs to be ported to the board.
