Any word on when firmware supporting ACPI will be available for the net6501?
There seem to be several subsystems that just won't initialize or work
right without it under Linux. (Power Management, HPET, more than on HT
thread with Xen enabled, etc.)

You need lmsensors. In addition, there are references in the list
archives for most of the bits of a lmsensors config

The product page for the net5501 on the new Soekris site still indicates
that the 5501 is intended to have a 1024MB variant.
Has there been any official statement as to whether there really will be
a net5501(-90?) with this spec, and if so, when would it be available?
