im with Simon. We only use PPG's here on very minor occasions We have been using PYQT heavily simply due to how much time it saves. We have very few TD's here. I hate seeing them spend a week on a PPG that even if done incredibly well cant hold a candle to something thats made in PYQT in less

Our licenses expired last November and we had to get replacements. Upon doing so some of our batch scripts no longer functioned. Apparently something has changed with licensing. We had to revise all our scripts by appending -processing as an argument to xsibatch.exe before anything would

Is there any FREE plugin to export to stl format? And is there any plugin to see the size of objects in softimage. By that i mean the width, height and depth of an object. I know the story of softimage units is whatever unit you want it to be, but this isn't really helping if you can't see it.

here is a plugin I wrote that you can use. It's all in python so there should not be any problems with it. You'll find it under File-Export-Export STL. Exporting through the menu allows only for binary STLs but the command itself has a switch to export in ascii format too. hope this helps cheers
