Great work Whiskeytree, that layout system is pretty darn impressive

Hello list, every once in a while, if I have an ice tree on top of a
mixer on a pointcloud, I get this error message:
# ERROR : 2000 - The cache file has a different definition for attribute
'/somecustomattribute/'. Loading canceled.
It seems to be completely random and in most cases I've
, the precision of the decimal decreases.
You could use scripting to automate, but you've pretty much found the
accepted solution.

Hi folks, I've got a simple setup where strands are deforming geometry
instances. My problem is that the further we get from the global 0 of
the 3d scene, the more the instances start deforming really weirdly. It
looks as if a jitter operator has been applied to the instance.
Our workaround
to the position. It's quite frustrating to see that
something as simple as this needs a simulated tree.

I'll probably use Steven's solution for this particular case, thank you
all for the help!

Hello list, I was wondering if any of you knew of a convenient way of
exporting an animated weightmap from an ice tree to an image sequence?
I think I remember seeing something about this a while back but I can't
seem to remember when and where.
Thanks for any help you can provide!
for me. ;)

Thank you all, I'll try and find that compound Eric mentioned. If
that doesn't work I'll have a look at the map lookup technique.

This is looking amazing, do you have an idea of when/how you plan to
release this nice little piece of animation goodness? I know that the
animators I work with would kill for something like this!
