I have several activation keys and use them with rhnreg_ks to register with different base channels so as long as you know activation key then you can register system with spacewalk server. But this seems a little vague and unsecure that all it takes to know just an activation key and server name

Hi Elizabeth, Each client runs rhn yum plugin and the file can be edited with timeout value. I have set to 1200 seconds for our remote systems with high latency. /etc/yum/pluginconf.d/rhnplugin.conf If you are using proxies , you must in addition to client add timeout option to rhn.conf

Hi Tal, I suspect your channel is not called "=centos7" but just "centos7" ? You can run spacewalk-channel command to list available channels so you know exactly name of the channel if do not remember, check if name of the centos7 channel really has sign equals in front. # spacewalk-channel
