n't you just try to debug the tool? I'm pretty sure, it's just a bash, Perl
or python script.
You could search for "Testing DB" and look at the commands and try to run them
manually.
Should not be that hard to find out, what's going on.

Hi all,
I had a problem similar to this one:

Here's how I fixed the problem. Please bear with me, I'm a noob and this is
just a temp fix.
I'm hoping you guys will find a better way to implement this.

Hello!
Running spacewalk-hostname-rename on my spacewalk instance, I stumbled
into a bizarre .. bug?
I'm using the internal postgres you get by installing the
spacewalk-postgresql package before installing spacewalk itself, and
upon running the command, the output is:
[root@localhost ~]#
Running spacewalk nightlies as of 11-01-2012
CentOS 6.3
postgres DB
cobbler 2.2.3-2
What's weird is that I can't seem to find any verison of cobbler that
allows the
--enable-tftp argument
Anyone?

yes I did reboot the server.

Why then is not your $HOSTNAME changed? Did you reboot after that
change in /etc/sysconfig/network?

/etc/sysconfig/network "HOSTNAME" was change from localhost to
drvprpo01 before running spacewalk-hostname-rename .

Hi.
What is the correct way to specify the new hostname when using
spacewalk-hostname-rename. I have tried changing it in
/etc/sysconfig/network and spacewalk-hostname-rename wouldn't run
exiting as follows

Hello Marcus,
HTTPS-MX monitoring scout e-mail is sent by sendmail.
I am wondering, because I've never received monitoring scout startup e-mail
from HTTPS-MX@. :-)
Could you be more concrete? And attach your scout startup e-mail and
/var/log/rhn/rhn_hostname_rename.log?

Hi all.
I have renamed a Spacewalk server, but during startup, the 'Monitoring
scout has been started' mail is still sent from https...@$oldhostname.
Could one please point out where that value is set from?

Hey Jeremy,
the script is brand new (and not really tested yet). It is a part of
spacewalk-utils package and is to find in the nightly repo. It will be a part
of next Spacewalk release.
