to 2.62, it worked great. But, it
only worked that one time.
Is there something wrong with the command I'm running?

I'd suggest turning on debug output with the -D parameter,
and see where it
gets stuck.
Here's what I get:
debug: Syncing Bayes journal and expiring old tokens...
debug: lock: 21404 created
/etc/MailScanner/bayes/bayes.lock.mystique.winnefox.org.21404
debug: lock: 21404 trying to get lock
to 2.62, it worked great. But, it
only worked that one time.
Is there something wrong with the command I'm running?

Subject: RE: [SAtalk] Not able to run sa-learn
Correction: the rm should rm bayes.lock, not bayes_
, or
verbose so I can see what it's doing, or how long it has to go?

Hi Martin,
There's --showdots, as mentioned in the man page.
Thanks. I did -h for help and didn't notice that in there.
And yes, sa-learn can take some time to run, particularly on slower
machines. It also depends on how many messages are in the mailbox.
Is /var/spool/mail/cleveland
Cannot open bayes databases /etc/MailScanner/bayes/bayes_* R/W: lock
failed: File exists
I believe this usually means that a lock file from a previous
failed attempt
to update the bayes DB files already exists. Is there any
sort of lock file
in that directory
, or
verbose so I can see what it's doing, or how long it has to go?

-- NOT OK
Running make test
Can't test without successful make
Running make install
make had returned bad status, install seems impossible
Any ideas as to what may have caused it? Do I need to install pod2man
first? If so, where do I get it?

Mine's in /usr/local - not /usr; has been since 2.4+
I found a file called spam in /usr/bin, but no spamc anywhere...

Hi Mike,
Thanks for taking the time to write me back.
[EMAIL PROTECTED] admin]$ locate spamc | grep -iv spool
??
No spamc... All I got were results back for that was spamcop stuff. Do
you think there's something wrong?
