Dear Ben,
I hope this helps. I do have a Speedtouch modem working with
Ameritech (well, most of the time).
I am afraid I am using PPPoE. The basic setup is Mandrake 8.1 with a
kernel I got from Mandrake's cooker. This kernel already includes the
bridging code you need for PPPoE over ATM (no pat
I am having trouble with the drivers and Francois Rogler suggested that I
contact you.
My system is running a new install of BSD 4.4 (stable) - I downloaded it
last week. It is a clean system and this is the first thing I am trying to
install.
I am using the GENERIC kernel.

En réponse à Francois Rogler <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
Bonjour !
J'ai bien fait le MAKEDEV et là le modem est reconnu sans le -d dans modem_run.
J'ai mis tout le chemin pour pppoa2 dans ppp.conf mais cela n'a rien changé,
j'ai toujours le
"Child failed (errdead)" !
Voila le le /var/log/pppao2.log
I now have this script working on Mandrake 8.1 download. I had to tweak
1. uhci -> usb-ohci,
2. pppoa -> pppoa2
3. remount ... I copied the line from the startup script.
and using the peer_ip mod.
Thanks Martin West

Is it worth doing another snapshot release of the code, and possibly
putting a version number to it. Are there actually any issues that stop us
putting out a 1.0 (or even 0.1) release and declaring it ready for public
use?

lorsque je lance startadsl (j'ai copié ton script)
l'initialisation du modem se fait bien mais après j'obtiens l'erreur
suivante :
