where you start teh speedtouch-stuff?
Maybe someone else will spot an error/problem.

Is the /etc/ppp directory world readable ? Else the /etc/resolv.conf
link is just unusable for normal users
I changed the access rights from /etc/ppp and resolv.conf to 777 - no
difference

I try it and it works!
I having just a little problem: my FreeBSD 5.1 RELEASE crashes when I
try to reboot/shutdown or kill pppoa3 program after a connection.
I have configured a FreeBSD gateway for a lan with M$ Windows and UNIXes
and everything is working perfectly.
