Let me know once you have tried the alternate driver/hardware/system tests
for your USB. I guess I've been lucky with my USB subsystem.
Did you say if your USB was onboard or an additional PCI card?
Thanks Alex,
- that is a useful clue to solve our reboot problem here - much
appreciated.
As soon as I get my home setup to the point where modem_run succeeds, I'll
try that there!
Best wishes

Adrian - not sure if you've managed to fix your problem yet but I'm running
exactly the same setup as you (SuSE 7.2, BT, etc) and its all working
flawlessly. More than happy to help if you're still struggling.

Alex,
Here is the usb/kernel information on the "ADSL line blocked - terminates"
problem I have.
Kernel is - Linux reimann 2.4.4-4GB (suse7.2)
modem_run is from the speedtouch-15082001 distribution.
the usb controller I am unsure how to divine - the FAQ suggests dumping
/proc/pci, which is what
Alex - thanks for your response.
I'll get the kernel vsn (a recent 2.4 - default suse7.2
distribution),
and USB chipset - unfortunately the machine is at home, so tomorrow
morning
It would be very nice to get this working!
Best wishes

What kernel version and what USB chipset do you have? (Details in the FAQ
in your speedtouch source distribution).
