Hi Doug,
No offense taken. It was just a thought that I had, and figured I'd ask the
list. While I'm not an engineer, I did go to school for mechanical
engineering many years ago. I have some concept of the forces involved and
in strength of materials. I believe it is possible to design a roll

Anyone in the UK know where I can get one of the above?
Its the part on early Mk1 Spitfires that acts as an overflow pipe for the
expansion tank from the radiator. I think I have trimmed mine for the last
time, as it has split again.
All the recognised sites dont seem to recognise the number or

Guys
My spit could do with a decoke of the head but I'm not keen on the volume of
work required according to the Haynes manual.
Has anyone any experience of the above. The claim is to decoke the head by
using a spray continuously into the inlet. Claims some impressive results.

...is my Spit running on only two cylinders?
I have only been pootling around town in the Spitfire during recent
weeks, and I have not noticed any significant loss of power, but I have
noticed a slight tendency to roughness/unevenness at low revs. Today I
decided to check the plugs (they were

I've been thinking about putting a roll bar in the Spit. Has anyone

Bill,
No offense, but are you serious? You are concerned about saving your

Hi Listers,
I have got to drill new holes for my rear bumpers - I have the rear
holes - just not the ones on the sides.
I don't trust myself to drill the holes in place "so they look" right -
there must be some accurate way of achieving this properly...?
Any clever ideas?
