For a Spitfire it is recommended to use Penrite's HPR 30 (20W60) for the
motor and Gear Oil 30 (20W60) and Hypoid 80W90 in the rear end.

Another thought is to keep your eye on Ebay. Originals show up there
frequently, they seem to go for as much as the repros and of course have
wear and tear for the most part, but at least the pegs should fit the holes!

The Buick Skylark my aunt had used one of those- it was a factory item. The
car is an 83 with no visible rust anywhere- panels or frame. My dad's ready
to get rid of it for her and I intend to scarf the unit to use on my
spitfire. JC Whitney sells them for $99.
