I have that same Sears 6hp 33gal unit. It will run my ratchet, hammer,
sandblaster (with 'rests' to cool down), DA sander, power washer and impact
wrench. The key was to find tools that came in well under the cfm rating.
Buried in the text was the 8.6cfm as opposed to the 11cfm that was
advertised. The biggest drawback is the noise, the sumbitch puts out 86db...
wish I'd spent for the 2cyl beltdrive instead of the oilless model. The
upside is that I don't kid myself that it will feed a paint gun so I won't
be stupid enough to try and paint Ol' Yeller when its time...
Its all about assessing your needs and buying a tool to meet them.
