Well, I flipped around the coil and lo and behold, it's a 12 volt coil by
"accel". The ohm resistance(if I'm reading this right) is at 1.3, which
initially made me think it was a 6v coil. Guess I was wrong.

As you know, my dad had a nasty accident with his GT6, messing up the hood and
bending the already bad frame(missing rear shock mount). Well, I now know the
fate of his GT-6.
Looks like he'll be doing a trade-in. A friend of his has a collection of 30

on the ragtop, or black? I see metal on my original, and the ragtop that came in

Sure a lot of GT6s in MN. There's my totalled dad's(71), the 71 he also had for
parts that he sold for $200, the one in northern MN(older model) on eBay, and
the one you mentioned.

And now I have come to the front sway bar.
I removed most of it with some effort. But the driver side link(the thing with
the ball at the end of it) won't come loose with the nut/stud/nut
arrangement. It freely turns. The mounting to the wishbone has 2 plates over it
that won't let me get a wre
Ugh, this was not fun.
On my 3rd day off, I decided it's time to finally do this.
Did the usual bit of drilling into the sump pump hole. I have a feeling the
misdrillings of before
would come back to bite me.
It did.
Anyways, I grew tired of drilling and drilling, and got about 55% of the way
I just spent 4 hours trying to get the remnants of the sump pump plug out. No
go. All I ended up doing is making a hole within the
remnants, and it's not centered correctly. Okay, so I could just scrape parts
of it out, right? Tried that and while some molecules
of metal came out, that eventuall
Things were going well with torqing the conrods back on, repainting the oil
pan, etc.
So I go to torque the oil pump back on. Snap. Ugh. One of the 3 bolts snapped
right off, even though I
sweare it wasn't quite 100% in yet.
So a few drill bits later, and all I have is a tapering hole in the b

It was a warm day in Minnesota, and we mean 37 degrees.
Fired up the heater, and got to work on removing the oil pan.
The parts even came in after 3 days from VB.
After several hours, pan is out. Yay.
Problem: I can't seem to get the rearmost big end bearing cap off. I can wiggle
it forwards & ba
Wow, this was harder than I thought it would be. Thankfully, I am doing
this in the comfort of my laundry room.
The 8 pop rivets holding the 4 plastic covers on the ceiling are THE
most difficult pop rivets I have ever removed. The final method to do it

Spit's thrust washers are in need of repairing. I do hear a knocking
sound when revving up the engine, and it looks like I'm gonna have to
get down there & replace it.
To my knowledge, the crankshaft has not been reground
So I had some free time today(instead of watching "I love the 80s in
3d") and tackled the rattling rear of the ragtop.
It was down to just ONE bolt and nut and I was done. you know that rear
plate the back 3 button snaps hold onto to the car's body? The right
securing bolt wasn't on at all! In

Does he have valences on under the hood? I did quite a bit of cooling
system overhauling, but what did the trick most was putting on new
plastic valences. The other ones previously were so worn, I removed
them. The valences, flimsy as they seem, guide the air nicely.

had an inline fuse that never blew. INstead, it would just get super hot and

Parts. That includes some official "inca yellow" paint

Trying to get the ball to stay in the stator of the wiper motor seems
impossible. Naturally, it won't run without it. How do you get the ball to
stay put when the slightest movement makes the ball cling to the side
magnets?

I had the same problem when I installed the pierce manifold + Weber carb.
Engine only ran when I floored it.
The problem was I didn't ground the manifold enough. There was still air
getting in there. WIth such a tight fit, I'm not surprised.

failed.
1. Rubber hose broke
2. Leaked
3. Had the hose closest to the temp sensor break for no reason(Thankfully I
was wearing goggles). That's been fixed.
