To all you caliper splitters, Pegasus auto racing sells the original type
seal. Expensive, but I didn't find a good match at the local supply stores.

If you don't split the calipers, it's a real b getting that cylinder hone in
there. I have never had one leak when I reassembled it. If it's going to leak, it
will be at the piston seal since it is a moving part.

I believe that it is officially "not recommended" to split the calipers,
I split mine without any problems.
Sure beat buying new ones and I have never had a problem with leaking after
I did it. I re-used the original o-rings.

Shame shame shame! You're not supposed to split the caliper, it's
"against the rules". :-)
Since it's brake fluid, I don't think it requires a special o-ring. So
just find one that fits, soak it in brake fluid for a few days to make
sure it doesn't do anything funny, and put it all back togeth

which is why the o-ring between them is not included in the kits. Still,
that hasn't stopped a number of Spit owners succcessfully splitting and
re-assembling their calipers. I believe most have re-used the old o-rin
