I have two broken Pi's. One I updated last night (jessie) sudo apt-get
update and dist-upgrade. Logitechmediaserver is now broken and won't
start.
Just for fun I installed a clean new latest jessie-lite on another SD
card and installed squeezelite and Logitechmediaserver and here is

Hi,
I've to say I'm an fan boy too of all squeezebox software and hardware,
for a long time.
I should have bought more hardware before Logitech stops it ! (another
radio, a transporter and another touch ?)
Sometimes I discover a new feature I didn't know and I'm amazed how it's
so powerful and we
literally a few minutes ago I noticed another nightly. Now when I
install it will eventually get to the wizard screen but I'd say it takes
on the order of 15 to 20 minutes to get there. Squeezebox Server and
Perl are consuming tons of CPU.
Something in the Pi Jessie updates broke LMS it looks
Adding a bit more to the story. First off understand I have about 15
raspberry Pi's around here. I took a Pi3 that I just took out of
service that has Jessie Pixel on it that hasn't been updated for maybe 2
weeks or so. LMS installed without a hitch on it.
So I'm sticking by that doing a sudo

Hi,
please add some more content to your statement.

Positive the card isn't full. Using 2017-01-11 Raspbian Jessie and
Jessie Lite (two separate Pi's).
LMS worked prior to upgrade. On the clean install with latest Jessie
Lite it never worked at all. As stated above an installation of Jessie
was last updated maybe 2 weeks ago and I just install
Hi guys,
Thanks for chiming in, kidstypike.
Regarding Mac: We do not offer an image for the Mac. However, you
install any kind software running a Squeeze player and the LMS should
recognize it and be able to synchronize it with the other players. I
have not tested it, but this should suffice:

Just to add a little more to this tale..my intent here is that I'm
adding an LCD to my Pi with track info, etc. No new ground. Did this
yesterday, got it all working and took it home to update (limited
hotspot data) and the Raspbian update broke it.
I took this older install that didn't ha
Hmm...

Have you done a sudo apt-get update and sudo apt-get upgrade today or
yesterday?

You are not going to believe this (or maybe you will). I took the SD
card that has a fresh, latest Raspbian installl with latest LMS that did
not work at home and it works in my office.
It must have been my firewall. I run a pfSense firewall and it
occasionally kills me like that. Unbelievabl
