Well the plot thickens...
After a reboot of the computer which runs LMS, LMS started and loaded
and all of my Squeezebox players are working just fine. However upon
opening the LMS control panel (as administrator) the Diagnostics tab
shows Port 9090 (CLI) as Failed but everything reports as Okay.
Don't know what version of Windows or AV, but
LogitechMediaServer-7.9.1-1502118993.exe installed fine on my Win10 Pro
running Avast free.

OK, here's the log. It was originally too large so I deleted everything
up to April 1, 2017. Let me know what you see... I won't rebuild the
system until Friday.
Thanks again, guys!

Hi
I am running LMS version 7.8.1 on a Duet (Sun Sparc). I had tried
version 7.9.0 but hated it, especially the way it indexes participants
on other peoples albums as artists in their own right. But this post
isn't about that, it's about 7.8.1.

Thanks for the quick response but this did NOT resolve the issues. The
old copy was not running and update was run with administrative
privileges and the exact same error keeps occurring. As I stated
earlier, the issue appears to be with the installer.

Hi that night I managed to delay the LMS startup with systemd timer. I
forgot to disable LMS service. When disabling it it worked perfectly. ;)

OK - that probably means the Flac / Lame transcoding is for older
players and for Ipeng may be using a diff
