I understand you and feel with you. As mentioned before, I had never any issues installing and/or upgrading LMS on my QNAP. But I committed all those changes @'Man in a van' listed to my system. Maybe you'll give them a try, as soon as you aren't tired anymore. I'd be glad to help you with it. :)

Probably your QNAP ran out of flash memory since /tmp lies there. And if your QNAP doesn't use HDA_DATA but CACHEDEV1_DATA as mountpoint for your HDD, /share/HDA_DATA lies in flash, too. With the symbolic link you avoid filing up the flash. But the move command won't run through, either. Do not fo
