Maybe I should add that I don't use "AutoRescan" or "Rescan Music
Library". I'll have another look at qlms.conf, though, maybe there's
something new in it.

that there didn't seem to be any major issues with LMS compatibility.
I've found that LMS now crashes daily and takes about 20 minutes to

record with 'Cool Edit Pro' (a very old bit of software now) but I think
you could use 'Audacity' to record.

to the Transporter. This means I wouldn't need the Pi based server or
the external USB drive. AWS has media streaming built in, but I'm fuzzy
on how to set it up so the Transporter can access it.
You certainly could set up
There's CloudFront, and also several newish services. It's a lot to sift
through though.
Transfer out is about a penny a gig, at my rate that wouldn't be too
expensive. What's been expensive is the Mac Mini dying and then having
an accident with the backup disk and re-ripping hundreds of CDs. :)
If its that sort of thing that worries you then get a decent NAS (2
disk in Raid 1). Put your music on it and point your local LMS at it but
also set it up to backup to one of the many relatively cheap cloud
storage services on an overnight basis. Youll only have to pay to
